Program Info: On Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, the Evening of Film Music will once again present a spectacular series of shows with the most beautiful film music.
Under the direction of conductor Jules Buckley, the Metropole Orchestra and the Netherlands Concert Choir once again bring the most iconic and beloved film classics to life. Over the past decade, the Evening of Film Music has grown into one of the largest film music events in Europe. What once started in the Royal Concertgebouw as an ode to film music, has grown into a multi-day spectacle since the move to the Ziggo Dome in 2019.
The programme honours the greatest film composers of all time, as well as composers from Dutch soil. In previous editions, the Metropole Orkest has collaborated with (inter)national artists such as Lebo M (The Lion King), Steve Stevens (Top Gun), Gary Jules (Donnie Darko), Anna Lapwood (Interstellar), Lavinia Meijer (Intouchables), Lakshmi (The Lord of the Rings) and Noa Wildschut (Schindlers List).
With music from Elton John, Lorne Balfe, Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi, Howard Shore, John Williams and others
