Music from, among others, E.T., Star Wars, Schindler's List, Indiana Jones and many more. John Williams is perhaps the greatest film composer in history.
54 Oscar nominations, 25 Grammy Awards and hundreds of awards over a period of sixty decades almost speak for themselves.
And filmmakers, experts and cinemagoers all over the world agree that Williams' music is an indispensable part of the iconic film worlds of, among others, Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone and George Lucas.
Here is the opportunity to experience the pure, symphonic sound of John Williams' soundtracks as you have never heard them before. The DR Symphony Orchestra and host Jakob Stegelmann invite you to an entire evening full of Williams' masterful soundscapes together with two strong soloists, the young violin star Anna Agafia Egholm and the singer Christine Nonbo, who is known and loved by the orchestra's film music fans all over the world.
Dream back to the magic of childhood with the sounds of E.T., experience heroic adventures with Indiana Jones, feel the excitement of a galaxy far, far away with music from Star Wars, fly to Wish Island with Captain Hook and be moved by the heartbreaking music from Schindler's List.
The evening also offers sounds from, among others, Seven Years in Tibet, the sci-fi film A.I. Artificial Intelligence and the patriotic drama Born on the Fourth of July.
