Program Info: Jazz Orchestra of the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Bartosz Smorągiewicz, conductor Patrycja Kunert, vocals
Music plays an extremely key role in cinematography, and its popularity sometimes exceeds the fame of the film itself. During the concert, we will enter the rich galaxy of film music. Our guides will be the stunning vocalist Patrycja Kunert and the fantastic Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra conducted by Bartosz Smorągiewicz.
The program includes songs accompanying cinema hits from the 1950s, which will be represented by two immortal soundtracks by Henry Mancini: from the movie Pink Panther and from the TV series Peter Gunn . But that's not all: we will also play the musical theme of the Mission Impossible series by Lalo Schifrin, which was later used in films with Tom Cruise, as well as music known from the film Children of Sanchez by the great trumpeter and composer Chuck Mangione. Patrycja Kunert will sing the song Feeling Good , which was performed by Nina Simone and was used in films such as Point of No Return , Six Feet Under , Repo Men - Vindicators and The Intouchables , and a later version by Muse was used in the film Seven Souls . The singer will also sing Skyfall - one of the most recognizable songs opening films from the 007 series, composed and first performed by Adele. We will also hear Eye of the Tiger from the movie Rocky III and at the same time from the repertoire of the group Survivor, or Holding Out For a Hero made famous thanks to the film part of the second adventures of Shrek. The icing on the cake of the repertoire of this concert will be the song My Heart Will Go On from Celine Dion's repertoire composed for the movie Titanic .
