Program Info: The Düsseldorf state government orchestra plays legends of film music. This time with a Batman special (20th anniversary of Batman Begins) and with cabaret artist and Batman fan Torsten Sträter as a special guest.
We are celebrating the 20th screen anniversary of “Batman Begins” (2005) with a Batman special, the cabaret artist and Batman fan Torsten Sträter and the most famous classics of Batman film music. Also: lots of catchy tunes from Hans Zimmer to Ennio Morricone to John Williams - composers who wrote award-winning soundtracks for Hollywood classics, music for large orchestras, full of passion, action and sonority. In its Lichtburg Concert 2025, the Düsseldorf State Government Orchestra, under the direction of its chief conductor Christian Ludwig, will play music from award-winning films: Hans Zimmer / Lisa Gerrard - Gladiator Hans Zimmer - Dune John Williams - Star Wars Various - Star Trek John Williams - Jurassic Park Klaus Badelt / Hans Zimmer - Pirates of the Caribbean and much more.
The Essen music journalist Axel Fuhrmann will lead through the program with film excerpts.
