Georges Delerue - A giant of cinema / American Night

Program Info: “In cinema, the art of the composer is that of the extra soul” summarized Georges Delerue. We think in particular of the tragic pain that he brings to the surface of Romy Schneider's face in Zulawski's L'Important , c'est d'aimer. Or, in American Night , to the fullness of his Grand Chorale, sublimating the fusion of cinema people in the accomplishment of their art. These two opuses appear in this first program, covering a wide aesthetic spectrum, from pieces for solo piano to works for orchestra and choir, such as Police Python 357 , a black gem of which this will be the concert premiere.
