The concert will be conducted by Roman Leontyev, laureate of all-Russian and international competitions. Having received his education at the conservatory, he toured all over the world, conducting the best ensembles in Russia and other countries. For more than twenty years, Roman has been collaborating with the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra. For more than ten years he has been an assistant to the artistic director of the theater Valery Gergiev.
“ Each performance, for me personally, is like flying on an airplane - it makes you find wings and fly in order to plunge into an atmosphere of feelings and find a genuine emotional state in which you are able to reveal many things in a new way. We are very similar in this way to the musicians of the Concord Orchestra ,” Michel Legrand said in an interview.
The concert will feature music from the legendary musical melodrama “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”, as well as from famous films: “The Thomas Crown Affair”, “Summer of ’42”, “Yentl”.
