Program Info: Under the direction of conductor Jules Buckley, the Metropole Orchestra will once again perform the best and most famous film classics together with the Netherlands Concert Choir in 2025. The Evening of Film Music has quickly grown into one of the largest film music events in Europe.
Started in the Royal Concertgebouw as an ode to film music, The Evening of Film Music has grown into a multi-day event that moved to the Ziggo Dome in 2019. The program will feature the greatest film composers of all time as well as film composers from the Netherlands. In recent editions, the Metropole Orchestra has collaborated with (inter)national artists such as Lebo M (Lion King), Steve Stevens (Top Gun), Anna Lapwood (Interstellar), Lavinia Meijer (Intouchables), Maud Akkermans (Schindler's List) and Lakshmi ( Lord of the Rings). It is still a surprise who will enter the Ziggo Dome stage as guest artists in 2025. It is certain that the Evening of Film Music promises to be a special evening again in 2025.
