A former sailor is a caretaker at an asylum to be close to his wife, who is staying there as a patient. When their daughter announces her marriage, she is shocked by her mother's condition and blames her father. The boundaries between dream and reality are slowly blurring for the caretaker.
This critically acclaimed film was produced by the group of artists Shinkankak-ha (School of New Perceptions). They made the film in response to naturalism, a movement that wants to tell and portray stories as realistically as possible.
