As we approach the end of 2024, our repertoire this week includes the only Violin Concerto of EW Korngold, who crowned the unforgettable films of Hollywood cinema with his compositions. We will listen to the work with the interpretation of Turkish-born Veriko Tchumburidze, who was deemed worthy of first place in the International Henry Wieniawski Competition, one of the oldest and most prestigious violin competitions in the world. In the second half of the concert, our orchestra, under the direction of the valuable Austrian conductor Andreas Ottensamer, will perform the 5th Symphony of the great Russian composer D. Shostakovich, who managed to survive in the difficult years of his country with his productivity.
