Original songs from "Pirates of the Caribbean", "The Lion King" and "Dune" will also be performed. A specially selected original repertoire will allow you to appreciate the stylistic richness and talent of Hans Zimmer - one of the most outstanding contemporary film music composers. Although Hans Zimmer will not appear in person during the concerts, his works and interesting facts from his biography will be presented.
Hans Zimmer wrote soundtracks for over 150 films. He creates all film genres, from animation through romantic comedies, action films, thrillers to historical epics. In addition to prestigious awards such as Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy, he also received awards for lifetime achievement: Lifetime Achievement Award, Frederick Loewe Award, Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement. His hallmark is a distinctive style that is a combination of symphonic music, modern instruments and electronics.
A breakthrough in Zimmer's composing career was the phenomenal musical setting for the cult Disney animation "The Lion King". “ This is the gem of this concert, and Zimmer was right to receive an Oscar for the music. It is also a piece in which the orchestra has the opportunity to present its full range of sound. This music is extremely poetic and sincere," notes conductor Maciej Szor.
After the success of "The Lion King", commissions poured in rapidly, including music for "Crimson Tide". Another significant moment in the composer's career was the soundtrack to "Gladiator", which was a huge cinema hit, and the music from this film stormed into concert halls. The soundtrack album from "Gladiator" remained on the world's bestseller list for many months. The soundtracks to "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Pearl Harbor", "The Da Vinci Code", "Inception" and "Batman" were equally popular.
The concert will be made more attractive by specially selected film fragments shown on a cinema screen, and light illumination will complement the visual impression of the event.
