You shouldn't go to sleep without being kissed! – A celebration of German sound film hits – with champagne reception –
Stars like Richard Tauber, Lilian Harvey, Liane Haid and Willi Forst helped shape the sound of the 1920s and 1930s, which is still unforgettable today, with their distinctive voices. Important technical innovations at the time contributed to their enormous popularity. The radio, the shellac record and the gramophone moved into living rooms, and sound films began their triumphant march into cinemas. A completely new genre emerged: the hit song - popular, audience-oriented, commercially-minded songs that quickly became catchy tunes because of their simple lyrics. But also because they were musical hits that made you sing, whistle and swing along. This is exactly what we want to seduce you with the program of our New Year's Eve concert this year. From operetta and hits, from swing, foxtrot and waltz bliss, we create a colorful bouquet of flowers from the great composers from the turn of the century to the 1950s. Franz Léhar, Ralph Benatzky, Robert Stolz, Paul Abraham and Franz Grothe, to name just a few, promise a varied and lively evening, where the topic of love is of course very important! Celebrate New Year's Eve with us and your loved ones, we promise you: you won't go to sleep without being kissed!
