30 December 2024 Tallinn (Estonia)
Year-end concert
Mari Poll (violin), Liisa Randalu (viola), Tallinn Chamber Orchestra - Jõhvi Concert Hall
Program Info: This year's traditional festive end-of-year concert focuses on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. One of the most beloved works in the history of music for violin, violoncello and orchestra is the Sinfonia concertante composed by the 23-year-old Mozart. It is a wonderful combination of symphony and instrumental concerto, full of creative joy and verve. Mozart loved to experiment with new musical ideas gathered on his travels. As this did not appeal to his employer at the time, the composer decided to change his secure position as court organist in Salzburg for a freelance life in Vienna.
May the new year bring us all the courage to experiment, the faith in the path we have chosen and the joy of walking it!
