Experience a unique film music afternoon! The young audience can enjoy the film classic The Snowman on a large screen , while Jonge Strijkers Nederland perform the accompanying soundtrack live. This film score, composed by Howard Blake, is almost as well-known as the picture book on which the film is based: a snowman comes to life at night and takes his little friend on a wonderful winter adventure.
The Snowman is not the only classic this afternoon. Bach is the undisputed classic of the Baroque, while Grieg in his Holberg Suite longs for that classical Baroque period. A program that fits perfectly with the warm and lyrical sound of Jonge Strijkers Nederland - a breeding ground for musical talent up to the age of 20. The young violinist Pauline van der Rest shines as a soloist. In short: a concert for young people, by young people.
