Program Info: Whether with Harry Potter, probably the most popular wizard in the world, or with Goethe's famous “Sorcerer's Apprentice” in Paul Dukas' wonderfully vivid setting: Magic and magic continue to inspire composers to create truly fantastic works. While Harry, as a Quidditch player, is known to have masterful control of the broom, the sorcerer's apprentice gets it dangerously out of control. Oh dear, how are we supposed to get rid of the spirits once summoned? But don't worry, music can also work wonders, music tells stories - and so we transform the stage into a magical place at the school concert.
