Program Info: The internationally renowned symphony orchestra led by chief conductor Martin Šanda and the soloist Leticia Krotka invite you to a musical experience that will bring the true atmosphere of Christmas. In the program of the concert, with which The Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague also enjoys success abroad, for example the title song of the animated film Ice Kingdom Let It Go will be heard. There will also be the global hit All I Want for Christmas Is You, which is the work of five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey, or the touching song Hallelujah, which was made famous by the late Leonard Cohen but is also known especially by children from the cult animation Shrek.
Among the other songs that will come to life in symphonic form, you can look forward to Love Is All Around, which became a true and unadulterated Christmas hit thanks to the ageless comedy Láska nebeská, as well as Last Christmas by George Michael or All By Myself from Bridget Jones's Diary. And what would Christmas be without the most popular Czech fairy tale? The song Three Nuts for Cinderella is guaranteed to be a gem for the Czech audience.
Since its foundation in 2002, the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague has had countless successes, such as several European tours with rock legends: Deep Purple, Nazareth, Europe, Alice Cooper, Toto, Survivor, Foreigner, Journey, Bonnie Tyler, Uriah Heep and others. He can also boast of collaboration on projects with the Swedish band Sabaton, the British band Kosheen, 2Cellos, the famous Spanish opera singer José Carreras or the vocal group The Tenors and IL Volo. The list of star names that had anything to do with the Prague orchestra is really extensive. Violinist Vanessa Mae, singer Sarah Brightman and three-time Grammy winner Michael Bublé are also worth mentioning. The orchestra has also performed a number of classical concerts throughout Europe, but also toured Japan and China.
