A Family Concert
Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paul Leddington Wright - Spa Centre
Program Info: Come and join the Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra in an afternoon of entertaining and well known music for the whole family. Our wonderful conductor, Paul Leddington Wright, will be the compere for the concert. All pieces performed will be associated with a particular animal taken from a musical or a story. The main piece will be'Peter and the Wolf', a musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. The tale is recited by a narrator, while the orchestra illustrates each character using a different instrument and theme. There will be other 'animal' extracts including a 'Cat's Duet' and music for a'Teddy Bear's Picnic'. Children in the audience are encouraged to either come dressed as an animal or bring their favourite cuddly toy animal! There will also be a quiz! It promises to be an afternoon filled with fun and glorious music.
