04 January 2025 Saint Petersburg (Russia)
Constellation
St. Petersburg Chamber Orchestra conducted by Igor Tomashevsky - Philharmonia
Program Info: Director Peter Jackson's film trilogy, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, became one of the largest and most successful projects in cinema history. Each film in the trilogy is filled with special effects, battle scenes and incredible scenery. We watch all this with great interest on the screen, but there is something that you cannot see with your eyes - we are talking, of course, about music!
The soundtracks for all films of the film trilogies “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” were written by Canadian composer Howard Shore. While working on film scores, Shore used a synthesis of symphonic traditions with simpler popular music. After the tremendous success of the films and Oscars for best soundtrack, Shore compiled the Lord of the Rings symphony from the best fragments of the soundtrack and toured the whole world. To the soundtrack performed by the Constellation Symphony Orchestra, listeners will be transported to a world filled with amazing and fantastic creatures, as well as dangerous adventures and journeys - the universe of John Tolkien.
