Marija Arutiunova is an exceptional and charismatic soloist singer, whose path to the world of music began with the flute, but her true calling has always been singing. Extraordinary talent and undying dedication allowed her to become one of the most outstanding artists of the Kaunas State Musical Theater. Her voice and stage suggestiveness do not leave anyone indifferent - every performance radiates not only technical skill, but also deep emotional experience. Maria created over 20 different roles, including the title character in the musical Elisabeth, where she was able to embody the character's complex journey from the joy of youth to the suffering of an adult woman. Her vocal parts are full of inner strength and her character transformation is captivating audiences and critics alike.
Arutiunova has also won the prestigious Fortune Award for the roles she created, nominated for the Golden Cross of the Stage, and her voice sounds in various musical genres - from opera to operetta, musicals, pop styles, as well as in movies, cartoons and series. Her performances are distinguished not only by technical professionalism, but also by the ability to convey strong emotions on stage, involve the audience in the story and create an unforgettable atmosphere. Vytautas Straižys is an extraordinary pianist who followed his musical path from the MK Čiurlionis School of Arts to the prestigious Royal Conservatory in the Netherlands, where he completed his master's studies in jazz. His musical prowess spans the spectrum from jazz to classical music, combining improvisational prowess with deep harmonic textures. Vytautas manages to create a musical journey that combines the styles of Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock along with the classical influences of Sergei Rachmaninoff and Claude Debussy.
Vytautas is a versatile creator - in addition to the piano, he also sings, plays percussion instruments and has founded "Downtown Piano Lab", a one-of-a-kind apartment, studio and concert hall in one - which has become a real creative centre in Vilnius. Here he shares his musical insights every day, teaches and organises open concerts. His musical performances are not only a demonstration of virtuoso skill, but also a deep emotional experience, where the audience is immersed in a musical synthesis of various eras and genres, enriched by unexpected improvisations. Vytautas Straižys is a musical alchemist who is able to subtly combine various styles and give them a unique, fresh sound, leaving an indelible impression on every listener.
