Prologue
Francis Grégoire Cinematic Band - Palais Montcalm, Salle D'Youville
Program Info: The pianist, keyboardist and composer from Ile d'Orléans, Francis Grégoire , will present Prologue in its entirety , his very first album with a cinematic jazz flavour on October 19.
For the occasion, he will be accompanied by the Cinematic Band who recorded on the album. The group is made up of the incredible Gabriel Cyr (guitar), Stéphane Chamberland (drums), Carl Mayotte (bass) and Damien-Jade Cyr (saxophone) as well as the magnificent Crema Quartet made up in particular of excellent musicians from the OSQ and Violons du Roy, with Inti Manzi (violin), Jean-Michel Marois (violin), Annie Morrier (viola) and Rachel Baillargeon (cello).
The band of no less than 9 musicians on stage will transport you into a cinematic and epic dimension through its universe which combines jazz fusion, classical music, film music and even progressive rock.
A launch show that will make you experience a wide range of emotions with compositions that are at once grandiose, colourful, sensitive and “groovy”, where the improvisation, passion and virtuosity of the musicians will be there. -YOU!
