The Dutch Silent Film Festival shows the wonders of silent film from all corners of the world. This evening we shine the spotlight on Mexico, with one of the few Mexican silent films that has been preserved. EL TREN FANTASMA is filled with action and adventure, this film tells the classic story of 'catch the crooks and rescue the station owner's beautiful daughter'. Although the story is clearly inspired by Hollywood, the film is full of Mexican influences, landscapes and customs.
