The Man Who Planted Trees is reborn in music: a film concert to celebrate nature and humanity.
Jean Giono's short story, published in 1953, The Man Who Planted Trees , reveals a depth of meaning that has since nourished numerous ecological initiatives. In 1987, Frédéric Back made an animated film based on this text, rewarded with more than forty awards around the world and won the Oscar for best animated film the following year. Accustomed to multidisciplinary projects and particularly sensitive to pictorial and cinematographic works, Marc-Olivier Dupin was entrusted by the Normandy Orchestra with the writing of a new score on this emblematic film.
