EARTH – 2024 is the year of Marco Polo: 700 years since his death and 770 since his birth. For the occasion, the ORV presents a new concert "Marco Polo - Ennio Morricone" which tells the wonders of lands near and far through music and films taken from Rai dramas. Morricone's soundtrack is among the most overwhelming musical pages and evokes ethnic sounds and oriental atmospheres. The sound of M. Danilo Rossi's viola will excite everyone present in the room with the evocative melodies written by the Maestro. The images that will tell the story of the well-known Venetian traveller will be projected: a twenty-six year long journey that will lead him to the centre of a fantastic world; the palace of the Great Khan and the towers of Mien, endless deserts and fountains of fire. On stage the Filarmonia Veneta Regional Orchestra and the I Cantori Veneziani choir.
