Program Info: 'Morricone and 100 years of cinema' is a tribute concert by the Royal Film Concert Orchestra , with Fernando Furones at the baton, to the author of the soundtrack of more than 500 films and television series. Honorary Oscar in 2006, winner of the Oscar for the music of Quentin Tarantino's film 'The Hateful Eight' and Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts in 2020.
Ennio Morricone wrote compositions created expressly for films and considered true masterpieces: 'The Mission, 'Cinema Paradiso', 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly', 'Novecento'... All his most recognized hits are part of the program of this concert promoted by the Excelentia Foundation , dedicated to promoting lyrical-musical heritage.
We will also be able to listen to a selection of the best soundtracks in the history of cinema, composed by other authors, such as Max Steiner's 'Casablanca' and 'Gone with the Wind'.
