Program Info: If film is best at the cinema, then film music is best live - preferably with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. Welcome to a concert with the most powerful film music - from the biggest audience magnets to the narrower classics!
The English word "Blockbuster" has become a term for films that bring in millions of dollars and attract a large audience, films that are almost always produced in one of Hollywood's film factories. We dedicate this concert to these Blockbusters, to the fixed stars of the film world we may never stop loving. For example, the 80's Die Hard and Aliens via the 90's with Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park up to the 2000's Lord of the Rings, Avatar, The Avengers.
But, we also want to stretch and broaden the concept of Blockbusters and look behind the Hollywood Hills to the film-makers who, with less financial muscle, still succeed in creating masterpieces.
The evening's presenter is the comedian, actor and film fan Anders Jansson, who will guide us with a firm hand through a program of the very best film music. A Blockbuster concert simply!
