As in the case of many previous editions, this year we invite you to listen to the first performances of compositions specially commissioned for the Festival. "Polish Concert" for accordion and string orchestra by Leszek Kołodziejski was written with the first performer, Aleksander Stachowski, in mind. The composer admits to being inspired by Polish folk dances - in the classic, three-part form with a fast-slow-fast arrangement , there are references to the krakowiak, kujawiak, oberek and mazurka. As suggested by the creator, the idea behind the Concert remains close to "Colors of Poland", which has been promoting Polish music from the very beginning. The composition is also intended to refer to "Concerto Polacco" by Bronisław Kazimierz Przybylski, a distinguished composer from Łódź. The above-mentioned piece is one of the first concertos for accordion in Polish literature. Leszek Kołodziejski is an active instrumentalist and composer, for many years he cooperated with the Academy of Music. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź. Author of numerous pieces for his instrument, he often collaborates with orchestras and artists of various aesthetics. The soloist in the Concerto will be mentioned Aleksander Stachowski , musician of the young generation, winner of numerous awards and distinctions at competitions in Poland and abroad.

The second part of the concert will be filled with an original proposal by the Motion Trio . These three musicians, as they write about themselves, "combine in their work the fire of music with Eastern European roots with the icy precision of great classical composers." They are known for their characteristic sound resulting from the juxtaposition of three accordions without any electronic processing. Their selection is an overview of various compositions that fit very different aesthetics. There will also be some fragments of soundtracks, including: Jan AP Kaczmarek , who died this year and won an Oscar for the music for the film "Finding Neverland", and his own songs by members of the Motion Trio, but also arrangements by Fryderyk Chopin and Wojciech Kilar . In both parts of the evening, the soloists will be joined by the Aukso Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, led by its founder, Marek Moś . Since the beginning of their activity in 1998, the musicians have been uncompromisingly combining various styles at concerts, eagerly performing contemporary, jazz and pop music.

For the second time in the history of "Colors of Poland" we will visit the beautiful Church of St. Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rozprza . The neoclassical temple consecrated in 1959 attracts believers with the famous image of the Rozprzańska Mother of Life. Last year, after over 150 years, Rozprza obtained city rights, although its history dates back to the 11th century. Its name comes from an old Polish word meaning "judicial dispute", as it was the seat of the castellany resolving legal conflicts.
