(Super) Heroes of Film Music – Magic, Fantasy and Action!
A moderated family concert for young and old: The ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna with film music from fantasy, animated and action films that are all about the most popular heroines and heroes. These are the soundtracks of legendary comic heroes such as Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman; an impressive orchestral medley from the “Harry Potter” saga as well as fun and romance with the animated heroes and heroines from “Ice Age”, “Shrek” and “How to Train Your Dragon”. But heroic journeys with Frodo Baggins and his comrades from the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy as well as with the siblings Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy into the magical world of Narnia are also on the program. In a Disney medley, the three heroines Mulan, Merida and Moana, who have become symbols of courage, strength and self-determination, delight with their inspiring melodies.
For the big finale, the concentrated power of united superheroes: Black Widow, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man, among others, meet in an “Avengers” suite. At your side is Captain Marvel, one of the strongest superheroes ever.
The heroines and heroes of the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna are also brought into the spotlight in this concert by presenter Leonard Eröd and conductor Gottfried Rabl.
