“O Fortuna!” – this call from the goddess of fate opens the great cantata “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, one of the most successful choral works in music history. The variety of lively music for which Orff used texts from medieval manuscripts continues to fascinate audiences to this day. Together with the TU Dortmund Symphonic Wind Orchestra, the university choir also presents impressive “fateful” compositions by film music legends John Williams and Ennio Morricone as well as the Belgian wind orchestra specialist Kevin Houben. Heinke Kirzinger and Constantin Hesselmann are in charge.
