On March 22, 2025, a suite composed on the occasion of the premiere of the film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be performed at PreZero Arena Gliwice. A distant galaxy, but also the Jurassic era and ubiquitous aliens are remembered thanks to the music of a brilliant American composer. John Williams is one of the most famous creators of film music. This composer has already received over 50 Oscar nominations and 5 statuettes, and in 2005 the music from "Star Wars" was chosen by the American Film Institute as the greatest soundtrack of all time. In addition to the stellar suite, the concert will also feature a phenomenal vocalise from the film "AI Artificial Intelligence", performed by the soloist Anna Lasota, well-known to the audience of Film Music Concerts. The concert program will include the thrilling march of "Superman", the solemn music from "Jurassic Park" and the famous shark theme from the movie "Jaws". Maestro Williams' repertoire will also include suites from "Saving Private Ryan" and "Schindler's List", which have permanently entered the canon of film music. “Star Wars” remains my favourite. This piece is truly timeless. The high registers of the violin, harp and celesta bring to mind distant galaxies, unexplored spaces and take us into the musical space of space - sums up conductor Maciej Sztor. Songs performed by the orchestra and choir under the baton of Maciej Sztor. The spectacular setting of the concert will be provided by light illumination, film fragments and the most famous film frames.
