How do you interpret the musical story of friendship, adventure and love in an exciting wizarding world? What does magic sound like? Leave that to award-winning composers like John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat. In October, the best music from all the Harry Potter films returns to Amsterdam and Arnhem!

The soundtracks of all eight Harry Potter films are ideal for performance in a large orchestral setting. For this purpose, conductor Raymond Janssen is once again working with The International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv and the National Choir of Ukraine 'Dumka'.

This concert is enchanting from the very first note. Hedwig's Theme , the famous twinkling melody that starts almost every Harry Potter film, immediately immerses you in his magical adventures.

Hogwarts

JK Rowling's novels tell the story of sorcerer's apprentice Harry Potter and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. They study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The main storyline is Harry's battle against Voldemort, who murdered Harry's parents in an attempt to become immortal and dominate the wizarding community.

Rowling's books were adapted into films between 2001 and 2011, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

Composers

John Williams composed the soundtrack to the first three Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). , among others Williams is one of the greatest film score composers of all time, writing the music for Jurassic Park , Saving Private Ryan , Star Wars , ET, Jaws and Schindler's List .

Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat composed the soundtracks for the other five films.
