And lovers of classical music also appreciate John Williams's soundtracks. It is not without reason that the phenomenal score and compositions of Star Wars have been declared the 'best film music of all time'. The Star Wars Suite already attracted full houses in the Netherlands in 2018, 2019 and 2022 and is now coming to Eindhoven again. Join us on a musical journey through the highlights of the Star Wars trilogies. Immerse yourself in the heroic adventures of Luke Skywalker and his friends as they battle Darth Vader and the evil Emperor.
Get ready to write film music for this heroic space opera. Music that does justice to and even reinforces a universe of spaceships, planets, lightsabers, robots, aliens and superpowers. Williams has succeeded surprisingly well in providing an impressive musical accompaniment to the breathtaking images. Without his melodies, the films wouldn't be half as exciting and magical.
The initiator of The Star Wars Suite in the Netherlands is composer, pianist and conductor Raymond Janssen. Just like the very successful Lord of the Rings concerts and the famous Carmina Burana, The Star Wars Suite is also performed by The International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv and the National Choir of Ukraine 'Dumka'. In total more than 140 young, gifted and passionate musicians, who are internationally highly regarded.
