The Tale of the Priest and His Worker Balda
Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Philharmonic conducted by Evgeniy Bushkov - Philharmonia
Program Info: To the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin, with a display of “Living Illustrations” in sand and watercolor
Sunday afternoon concerts for children and their parents, combined into the “Tales of A.S. Pushkin” subscription, are this year led by a theater and film actress, host of the “Good Night, Kids!” program. Anna Mikhalkova. Fabulous, fantastic, magical music from a variety of composers and, of course, the famous fairy tales of Pushkin sounds from the stage.
The centerpiece of the March subscription program is Dmitry Shostakovich’s music for the unsurvived cartoon “The Tale of the Priest and His Worker”: young subscription listeners and their parents will not only hear the fairy tale accompanied by music, but will also see illustrations in sand and watercolors. Also at the concert, the fairy tale “Polly and the Dinosaurs” by Yuri Falik will be performed - a good summer story, which will be “told” by the Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Evgeniy Bushkov and the Concert Choir “Perezvony”.
Phallic - "Polly and the Dinosaurs", a children's musical fairy tale Shostakovich “The Tale of the Priest and His Worker Balda”, fragments of music for the lost film of 1936 (with the display of “Live Illustrations” in sand and watercolors and the reading of Pushkin’s fairy tale of the same name)
