Program Info: With “Kids meet Classic”, the Vogtland Philharmonic wants to get children and young people excited about classical music and arouse their interest in learning an instrument and has therefore been offering specially tailored concerts since 1996. In this special “music lesson” many children experience the impressive sound of a professional symphony orchestra live for the first time. Different topic offerings for different age groups, which were designed in collaboration with music teachers, introduce children to interesting and exciting orchestral music. Relaxing moderations convey useful information about the instruments and the orchestra as well as about the music and its creation. Many positive reactions clearly demonstrate that the “cool guys” will soon be fascinated by the orchestral sound.
Supported by its “ support association ”, the Vogtland Philharmonic reaches several thousand children every year and thus provides valuable support for young talent.
