Program Info: Maestro Nicola Piovani will be the one to wish the city a happy new year on New Year's Eve with his concert "Music is dangerous", thanks to the collaboration between Fondazione I Teatri and Fondazione Manodori. The event also aims to promote the activity of the canteens of the Diocesan Caritas of Reggio Emilia, one of the projects supported by the Manodori Foundation for 2024
Music is dangerous – Concertato is a musical story, narrated by the instruments that act on stage – piano, double bass, percussion, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, cello, accordion. Marking the stations of this musical journey in freedom, Nicola Piovani tells the public the meaning of these jagged paths that led him to flank the work of De André, Fellini, Magni, Spanish, French and Dutch directors, for theatre, cinema, television, instrumental singers, alternating the performance of theatrically unreleased songs with new versions of more well-known songs, rearranged for the occasion.
In the theatrical story the word reaches where the music cannot reach, but, above all, the music reigns supreme where the word does not and cannot reach. The stage videos integrate the story with images of films, shows and, above all, images that artists such as Luzzati and Manara have dedicated to Piovani's musical work.
