The most beautiful film music

We invite you to the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk for a unique concert with the most beautiful film music. The repertoire will include gems of world and Polish cinematography, including well-known themes from the films Mission: Impossible, Avengers and Pirates of the Caribbean, and the appropriate atmosphere will be created by touching melodies from Nights and Days, Mission, Schindler's List and Cinema Paradiso.

It will be a great opportunity to recall your favourite scenes and remember, for example, the crazy dance from Zorba the Greek, the sensual tango from Scent of a Woman or the iconic scene of a bicycle flying against the background of the moon from the movie ET. There will also be titles that bring generations together in front of the screens, such as Santa Claus, The Chronicles of Narnia or the Christmas hit Home Alone.

The Amberto orchestra, conducted by Oscar-winning conductor Ernst van Tiel, will provide excellent sound. As a film concert specialist, Ernst van Tiel has conducted most of the screen titles, from Alexander Nevsky to Star Wars, Vertigo and ET, as well as films from the Harry Potter series. In 2011, together with the Brussels Philharmonic, he recorded original music by Ludovic Bource for the award-winning Oscar, Golden Globe and British Academy Film Award for The Artist.

The soloist of this special evening will be the excellent violinist Natalia Walewska, well known to the Tricity audience. Having held the prestigious position of concert master of the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra in Gdańsk for many years, she played hundreds of symphonic and solo concerts, recitals and television broadcasts, gaining the recognition of both conductors and listeners. He has recorded recordings that have achieved platinum and gold status.

The concert will be hosted by editor Kami Wicik from Radio Gdańsk.

A unique evening with the most beautiful film music is a great idea for a meeting with friends, a perfect date, spending time with family or a successful trip combined with discovering the charms of Hanseatic Gdańsk. We recommend this event full of twists and great emotions to both younger and older music lovers!
