Porto composer Igor C Silva created a soundtrack that both fills and breathes the silent film O Táxi 9297 , produced by Invicta Film and shown at Cinema Batalha in 1927. After the premiere of the cine-concert in Porto, in 2020, and After a successful tour to the Luxembourg Philharmonie, we once again present this commission from Casa da Música. The plot's starting point is the strangulation of a woman by her ex-lover, inside a taxi, which shocked Lisbon society in 1926. In the newspapers, a certain Repórter X published the results of the investigations he carried out on his own, denouncing the perpetrator of the crime. The journalist was Reinaldo Ferreira, the same man who shortly afterwards was inspired by his research to make this detective film, a classic of Portuguese silent cinema.
