Indulge in great emotions with the romcom classic “The Holiday” and Hans Zimmer’s light-hearted, playful film music, played by the City Light Symphony Orchestra.
With “The Holiday,” acclaimed director Nancy Meyers tells the story of two women whose next vacation brings more than just relaxation. Amanda (Cameron Diaz) and Iris (Kate Winslet) have never met and live their own lives 6,000 miles apart. But one day they learn each other met online on a home exchange website and spontaneously agreed on such a home swap for the upcoming holidays.
Iris moves into Amanda's Los Angeles home in sunny California, while Amanda settles into Iris' cozy abode in snowy rural England might. Shortly after arriving at their destination, both women find the last thing they wanted or expected: a new romance with Miles (Jack Black). or with Graham (Jude Law).
“The Holiday” from Universal Pictures has established itself as a winter and holiday classic since its theatrical debut in 2006. The film music by Hans Zimmer also contributes to this with everything from dreamy, light-footed piano and guitar playing to romantic, languid strings to atmospheric jazz and pop sounds unites what makes the sparks fly in the romantic comedy “The Holiday”.
