After more than 5 years, the audience in the Czech Republic will once again enjoy the music of John Williams performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, accompanying the screening of a full-length film from one of the most beloved film series in history.
The globally successful Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™ in Concert , as part of the only official Harry Potter Film Concert Series , returns to the Czech Republic after more than 5 years! This unique and grand concert, which will connect the iconic film melodies composed by the renowned composer John Williams with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, will take place on February 10th at O2 universum in Prague, and there are even two concerts planned! This exceptional audiovisual spectacle will not only offer a perfect live music experience enhanced by the performance of the 90-member The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra led by the renowned conductor Ernst van Tiel but will also allow the audience to relive the magic of the entire film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on a large 16-meter screen in high definition. The film will be screened with Czech dubbing, allowing children to fully enjoy this unique experience! The perfect combination of film, music, and live symphony performance will take place in Prague in February, with two concerts on a single day.
“We are delighted that the Harry Potter Film Concert Series is returning to the Czech Republic, and that we can offer this unique spectacle to the Czech audience in Prague once again. Although we are all familiar with the film itself, the connection with the live 90-member symphony orchestra of The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra will be an experience of an entirely different dimension,” says Tibor Engler, the producer of the Czech concerts. He adds that the concerts will be a 100% combination of the film, music, and live orchestra in the truest sense. During the concerts, the entire film with Czech dubbing will be shown on the screen, with the music provided by the renowned orchestra of The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
