For the first time in Latvia - the symphonic show of the "Disney" film studio! Grand celebration for the whole family on New Year's Eve! On December 30, the masterpiece of the "Disney" studio "Heart of Ice" - "Arena Riga" awaits us on the biggest screen in Latvia and accompanied by the music of the symphony orchestra. It has been 10 years since the premiere of this cult animated film, but it is watched again and again without getting tired by both children and their parents. On the threshold of the New Year's holidays, we will meet again with the beloved movie heroes - this time on the huge screen of "Arēnas Rīga" accompanied by a grand orchestra of 70 musicians. The exciting movie story, whose victory march on the big screen began on the eve of 2014, has conquered the hearts of millions of viewers. The animated film "Heart of Ice" was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen", the plot of which was adapted to contemporary audience needs and modern reality. The main characters of the fairy tale - Princess Anna, her faithful companion Kristoff and Sven the deer - go in search of Anna's older sister Elsa, who has put an ice curse on her land. On the way, they will meet mystical trolls, get to know the charming snowman Olaf, mountain peaks, next to which even Everest would seem small, and magical power in every snowflake... "Heart of Ice" immediately became the leader of the film industry, many film critics recognized it as the best animated film of the "Disney" studio since the beginning of the 21st century. It has received countless awards, including two "Oscar" awards - in the nominations "Best Animated Film" and "Best Song". The recording of the soundtrack of "Heart of Ice" has achieved the status of a Platinum disc and stayed at the 1st place in the "Billboard 200" ranking for 13 weeks - this success was achieved only by "Titanic" in 1998. At present, more than 10 million copies of the album «Heart of ice» have been sold, but the famous song «Let it Go» performed by Idina Menzel has become one of the most famous hits of all time in all corners of the world. This year "Heart of Ice" celebrates its 10th anniversary, which coincides with the equally important centenary of the "Disney" film studio. Such a double anniversary should not be celebrated! The grandiose show "Heart of Ice", which we will watch in Riga on December 30, promises to complement the exciting and magical adventures of the movie characters with the enjoyment of the excellent film music.
