Games + Eimar Noone + Concert
Beethoven Orchester Bonn conducted by Eimar Noone - Telekom Forum
Program Info: Video game music is a completely separate genre. With its own laws, with its own composers. In any case, it is music influenced by the great film soundtracks, and before that by composers such as Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss. Majestic, opulent, colorful! And it is a music with its own fans, some of whom have to travel long distances - who celebrate their musical heroes and heroines like Star Wars fans Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda or Princess Leia.
The conductor and composer Eímear Noone is one such hero of the genre. She has composed the music for some of the biggest and most famous video games - ones whose names are known even to a layperson and which stand for strange and exciting worlds, multi-layered fun and an incredibly large community: for example Zelda, Super Mario and World of Warcraft. We are pleased to be able to present Eímear Noone to our audience at the Telekom Forum – with a program of absolute highlights that she has put together especially for her. Joysticks out, headphones on – and off we go!
