04 February 2024 Santa Rosa (California, USA)
A Night at the Oscars
Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra conducted by Troy Quinn - Luther Burbank Center for the Arts
Program Info: Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra Troy Quinn, conductor Eric Rigler, instrumental soloist
Unique for most Oscar concerts, selections for A Night at the Oscars all were either nominated for or won an Academy Award®. All are the original orchestral arrangements and/or suites that were composed for the films, including the Mancini End Credits, as well as the original 1976 Gonna Fly Now from Bill Conti. Guest conductor Troy Quinn will take the podium, accompanied by the world famous piper, Eric Rigler, who originated the pipe playing on both Titanic with Celine Dion and Braveheart (James Horner). An interactive finale invites the audience to choose for the encore either John Williams’ “Main Title” or “Imperial March” from Star Wars.
