Program Info: The Sound of Nature: Oscar winner Hans Zimmer has created an equally impressive soundtrack for the BBC's visually stunning nature documentary series. His »Planet Earth II« music is performed live in concert here, surrounded by the other elements of fire, air and water. Hans Zimmer, who was born in Frankfurt by the way, is a grandmaster of the blockbuster score. Memorable film scores such as “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Gladiator”, “The Dark Knight”, “Interstellar” and “Dune” come from his pen. For "Planet Earth" he and his team did not work on behalf of Hollywood and the dream factory, but for British television and the largest imaginable paradise: our earth. And Zimmer says that this very project is the most important thing he has ever done. Because it reminds us "that we are supposed to be in love with this planet, with this planet that we share together."
