Ciné-concert : The Navigator
Thomas Ospital, organ - Salle Philharmonique
Program Info: “The ardor of the artist's youth unashamedly dusts off the austere image of this monumental instrument. » (Resmusica)
Dating back to 1924, the silent film The Navigator was Buster Keaton's greatest success. Filled with hilarious gags and incredible situations, this film tells the adventures of a wacky couple – Rollo, played by Keaton himself, and Betsy, finding themselves alone and distraught on a ship adrift in the Pacific, far from their servants… Professor of organ at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris and titular organist of the Saint-Eustache church in Paris, Thomas Ospital puts all his talent as an improviser at the service of this masterpiece of silent cinema.
