Dane Lam conducts Mahler's monumental song cycle of life, death, and nature, Das Lied von der Erde, paired with the Pacific premiere of Huang Ruo's prescient climate warning, Tipping Point (HSO Co-Commission), and Tan Dun's sweeping cello concerto from the Ang Lee’s Academy Award winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon performed by HSO's own Mark Votapek.
