Tharaud makes his cinema
Alexandre Tharaud, piano - Opera de Rouen Normandie, Théâtre des Arts
Program Info: The headlights are on, the engine is running and the silhouette of Alexandre Tharaud takes shape. From his subtle piano, he interprets his favourite film music.
Cinema runs through his life since childhood. “At twelve years old, I secretly played the music of certain films as soon as I returned from my lessons at the conservatory. They have never left me”, enthuses the pianist who we knew as a poet, a romantic, a fan of songs and theatre, and who today shares his passion for cinema. In a concert that stages music and images, he pays tribute to all these composers of the 7th Art. Vladimir Cosma, Michel Legrand, Philippe Sarde, John Williams…, Alexandre Tharaud celebrates them at the big day. These are also the films of our lives that he unfolds. From Star Wars to Tall Blond with a Black Shoe, we share the same web of emotions!
