Echoes of the Rising Sun Act I
Neko Light Orchestra - Cepac Silo

Program Info:
Created in January 2014 for the release of the latest film by the master of Japanese animation Hayao Miyazaki "The Wind Rises", the concert was first played a lot in cinemas throughout the territory, conventions in France , Belgium, Switzerland and as far as Japan, before finding the way to more traditional concert halls.

Since 2018, the concert has opened up to masterpieces of Japanese animation other than those of Studio Ghibli such as AKIRA, GHOST IN THE SHELL, YOUR NAME, which allow for ever greater orchestration and variety in the concert.

On the Studio Ghibli side, the concert explores the great masterpieces of master Miyazaki such as THE CASTLE IN THE SKY, PORCO ROSSO, SPIRITED'S JOURNEY, TOTORO... gives pride of place to the film ARRIETTY and pays an emotional tribute to the cinema of the late Isao Takahata (POMPOKO, OMOIDE PORORORO, and especially THE TOMB OF THE FIREFLIES)

The Neko Light Orchestra is a collective of musician composers, created in Toulouse in 2011. It is a melodic rock orchestra specializing in reinterpretations of music from the Cultures of the Imaginary which has been greatly noticed thanks to the band 'Echos de La Vallée du Vent', a tribute to the music of animated films by masters Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. The group is also illustrated in the worlds of science fiction and fantasy such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, or series such as Game of Thrones or Dr Who and highlights the musical universes of the great classics cinema like the films of Quentin Tarantino. After going through all the conventions of Imaginary Cultures such as Japan Expo Paris, Toulouse Game Show, Polymanga Montreux, Made In Asia Brussels but also Japan in 2015 for the Haneda festival, the group also performs in cinemas (Grand Rex or Gaumont Opéra in Paris, Gaumont Wilson in Toulouse, etc.), has set up its own production company and increasingly successfully offers these original 'Tribute' concerts in performance halls such as the Trianon, the Elysée Montmartre in Paris, the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse, the Dairy in Strasbourg, the Liberté in Rennes…

Combining musical requirement, finesse, rock power, total freedom of creation and passion, Neko Light Orchestra has established itself in the musical landscape as a UFO of Imaginary Cultures which appeals to aficionados as much as to the general public and continues its way. with more than 300 concerts to his credit, albums of compositions and always new projects for the 18 musicians of the collective.
