Zimmer vs Williams - The Best Film Music in Concert
Grand Symphonique conducted by Anthony Inglis - Muziekgebouw, Grote Zaal
Program Info: Dive into music history with these immersive gems of movie tunes: ET, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park and Spiderman. Piece by piece unforgettable melodies by John Williams and Hans Zimmer, composers of the greatest Hollywood films, are featured during this tribute.
John Williams, the favourite composer of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. John has composed for films such as Jaws, Star Wars, ET, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Schindler's List and the first three films of the Harry Potter saga. He won 5 Oscars for 'best film score' and was nominated 52 times. That says enough.
Hans Zimmer, named in 2007 by the British newspaper 'The Daily Telegraph' as one of the most important composers of film music in the world. He composed music for impressive films such as The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Rain, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Tears of the Sun, The Dark Knight and Inception.
An exceptional concert, conducted by the London maestro Anthony Inglis with the necessary, so typical British humour. Inglis is accompanied by no fewer than 85 musicians from the Grand Symphonique.
This will be unforgettable!
