Student concerts · Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau Sorcerer's Apprentice & Harry Potter
Philharmonie Salzburg conducted by Elisabeth Fuchs - Carmen Würth Forum
Program Info: The ballad The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was written in 1797, the so-called ballad year, during an enjoyable poetry competition with Friedrich Schiller. Exactly 100 years later, Paul Dukas set this work to music. She is best known for the 1940 Disney film Fantasia. Many years later, John Williams composed the music for another world-renowned wizard student: Harry Potter. Here, too, you can definitely hear brooms, magic spells and much more from the magical world. The Salzburg Philharmonic, Elisabeth Fuchs and a team of actors take the audience to a magical musical hour.
