Film music for the Christmas season - The Sound of Christmas
Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra - Alte Oper, Großer Saal
Program Info: Every year, one film is usually enough and you are immediately in the romantic Christmas spirit. For some it's "Three Nuts for Cinderella", for others "Home Alone", "The Miracle of Manhattan" or "The Little Lord". The wonderful soundtracks in particular contribute to their magic - after all, grandmasters like John Williams or Karel Svoboda were at work here. At the gala film concert "The Sound of Christmas" you can experience these and many other Christmas classics in a completely new way: the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, soloists and a sonorous choir bring the impressive music live to the stage. This is supplemented by an elaborate lighting concept and entertaining, informative presentations. You can also hear excerpts from "Love doesn't need a vacation" or "The Polar Express", the main themes from "Actually ... Love" and one of the most popular Christmas carols in the world: Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" - the recording by Bing Crosby is considered best-selling single in music history. The song has been featured in countless films and has always put viewers in the romantic Christmas mood.
Music from the films Allyn Ferguson - "The Little Lord" Craig Armstrong - "Love Actually" Bruce Broughton "Miracle on 34th Street" Karel Svoboda - "Three Nuts for Cinderella" John Williams - "Home Alone" Has Zimmer - "Liebe braucht keine Ferien" Alan Silvestri - "The Polar Express " - "A Christmas Story" and much more
