Bond in Concert
Large orchestra and the powerful-voiced audience favorites Maya Hakvoort , Nazide Aylin and Missy May - Brucknerhaus, Grosser Saal
Program Info: This event has been rescheduled from October 21, 2022 to February 11, 2023.
A gala evening in the service of Her Majesty. The legendary songs and scores from the Bond films, with a large orchestra and the powerful-voiced audience favorites Maya Hakvoort , Nazide Aylin and Missy May . Film scenes are shown on a large screen. As a special highlight, Lukas Perman will lead through the evening and of course also interpret Bond songs.
"Shaken, not stirred" is how Bond wants his vodka martini, the flirtations with the secretary Moneypenny are legendary, as are his affairs, the sophisticated technical gimmicks from the workshop of hobbyist "Q" - and of course the triumph of good at the end: all that has defied the zeitgeist of the film industry for more than half a century. The adventures of James Bond are cinema history.
The Bond theme, which has been popular since “James Bond chases Dr. No” accompanies all films. Although there are now more than 70 versions, everyone knows the instrumental recording, which consists of just 60 bars and has a memorable melody. Along with the famous gun barrel look and pistol shot, another unmistakable hallmark of the film series.
The title songs of each individual Bond thriller are just as concise. World-famous performers such as Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Paul McCartney, A-ha, Tina Turner and Madonna created classics for eternity. With Billie Eilish's NO TIME TO DIE , a Bond song is once again traded as an Oscar favorite for best original song this year. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Bond film series
This gala concert looks back on 60 years of Bond movies live and on the big screen. From John Barry's GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER to LICENSE TO KILL, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and GOLDENEYE to the latest Bond adventures SKYFALL, SPECTER and NO TIME TO DIE .
With music from John Barry, Monty Norman, Michael Kamen, Eric Serra, Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer and others
Our star interpreters are accompanied by a large symphony orchestra, supplemented by top instrumental soloists for that special Bond sound. The arrangements are by the musical director of the gala concert, Alex Johansson.
