The action comedy "Back to the Future" was a huge success and opened all doors in Hollywood for director Robert Zemeckis. Now the cult film with the powerful soundtrack by Alan Silvestri can finally be heard again at the KKL Luzern.

"Back to the Future" tells the story of high school student Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) who accidentally time travels to 1955 and changes his parents' past there. Marty must now try to restore the original past and return to 1985. "Back to the Future" achieved cult status thanks to the original time machine in the form of a converted DeLorean DMC-12 sports car. The film was included in the National Film Registry in 2007.

Director Robert Zemeckis remembers a conversation with composer Alan Silvestri on the set of «Back to the Future»: "Big, powerful - with these words I explained to Alan how I would imagine the film music to be. I said, 'Alan, elevate the film!'” Zemeckis confidently dismissed the young, aspiring composer from the composition work and Silvestri subsequently not only created a film music classic par excellence, but immediately established himself as a new voice in action music. Kino, which has since caused a sensation with lots of brass and percussion.

Experience "Back to the Future" in new splendor and embark on a turbulent journey through time in the legendary DeLorean DMC-12 with the City Light Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kevin Griffiths.
